The Board of Trustees has approved Jennifer Burke contract. The primary focus of this project is to create themes and templates for web site home pages for all four campuses and the district. This will allow launch of new home pages using WordPress by end of spring semester, 2010. The new home pages, like the department and program home pages previously designed by Jennifer, will incorporate standard web benchmarks—including accessibility compliance, identity and brand strength, usability, portability, maintainability, and extensibility. Source of Funds: Measure A Deliverables: * Site maps depicting high-level information architecture. * Functional wireframes conveying structure, layout, and content types. * Screen design showing formats, layout, and content types * Screen designs showing formats, layouts, typography, and colors for typical page and content types. * Flexible custom WordPress themes and templates to support content types, page types, and components for the district site and its four campus sites. * Custom or stock plug-ins to support content modules such as event listings. * Proof of concept based on build out with content of a selected typical site home page and a supporting page, using the Laney site or the Berkeley Community College site, developed and built out in collaboration with Peralta web site team.
